Chriki'Z Company
This musical journey is a celebration of diversity, in which hip-hop dance takes center stage, vibrating with bold, infectious energy. Dancers from the French company Chriki'Z join bgirls and b.boys from the Bulgarian Breakdance Federation. Sometimes in a group, sometimes solo, they will be our guides in this space, where our eyes and ears will be the first receivers of our emotions.
Every movement, every note is an ode to the vitality of existence, a celebration of the power of music and movement to transcend boundaries and connect lovers of music and dance.
Founded in 2011, Chriki'Z, under the direction of Amin Bouza and Jana Azoulay, develops contemporary work based on hip-hop movement.
The two choreographers have developed a style that pushes the boundaries of movement, whether performative or minimalist, but always embodied. Through their humanistic universes, Amin Bouza and Jana Azoulay create works in which aesthetics are combined with life.
The universe of choreographers, largely nourished by references (cinematic, pictorial, or literary), is always enlivened by the discovery—or rediscovery—of works of all kinds. Whether as inspiration or free interpretation, they are a source of reflection for each of the choreographers' projects.
Drawing on them, Amin Bouza and Jeanne Azoulay develop a creative process that is both understandable and sensitive. In this way, they sublimate the individuality, bodies, strengths, and vulnerabilities of each performer.
