Experience and inexhaustible passion are the pillars of a bold and innovative group that constantly amazes and excites its audience; an audience that welcomes with open arms the interpretations of four musicians driven by the pleasure of playing, giving, sharing, and inventing.
An exceptional quartet, Quatuor Anches Hantées has been touring French and international concert halls for 20 years. With a repertoire of exceptional transcriptions and original works written for them, the quartet is a model of elegance and stands out with the undeniable qualities of each of its members, as well as with its artistic cohesion, which is one of the most accomplished in the world of chamber music.
The album Malinkonia, recorded in 2020, adds a new dimension to the ensemble. Mastering the vast repertoire of the string quartet allows it to satisfy its thirst for perfection and elevates it to the highest level, for which it is awarded 5 Diapasons and 4 Classica Stars.
"Quatuor Anches Hantées demonstrates exceptional flexibility and rises to the most astonishing technical challenges in remarkable transcriptions of string quartets by Mozart and Beethoven." – Patrick Chersnovich, Diapason magazine.
Buoyed by this success, the musicians will offer at the end of this anniversary year Fanny M., a new opus borrowed from string quartets and enriched with an original work by Richard Dubugnon: Lettre à l’Immortelle Bien Aimée ("Letter to the Immortal Beloved").
Twenty years on, and the energy is still overflowing! QAH will continue to be on all fronts!
The creation of new works, teaching, and cultural activities will be at the heart of this new season. Also looking to the international horizon, the musicians will bring "the French touch," which is so familiar to them in Europe (Denmark, Bulgaria) and across the Atlantic (USA, Canada).
